Aha... sorry, had I the prerequisite knowledge of PHP I would probably have understood that. I'll let you know if I have any success.

Thanks again,

Yeah, you don't need the wrapper obviously, I meant the PHP module itself. I think it's best if I put some time into a proper post on this and make the code a bit more generic.

Hey Aaron, thanks for the response. I can't dig out the "json module" by searching devot:ee, the EE site or google, so I installed Fieldframe (1.4.3) instead. Still no joy. On further investigation I could find no reference to jsonwrapper in the source of Fieldframe and so went in search of that myself. I found *a* jsonwrapper php script here (http://www.boutell.com/scripts/jsonwrapper.html) thanks to a thread where Brandon Kelly was mentioned. Thing is, I don't know where to "require" this script (if it's the right one!) in order to get the plugin working.

Also interesting is that the server I'm running on runs PHP 5.2.9 with json support enabled at version 1.2.1. Makes the jsonwrapper sound a little redundant, but only based on my (otherwise ill-informed) reading of that download page.

Thanks for taking the time on this - if I can get to the bottom of it I'll gladly blog a step-by-step so others won't need to hassle you! J.

@John :

The plugin needs you to have either the json module installed or the jsonwrapper that comes with Fieldframe by Brandon Kelly. Try addressing that first. The plugin was written for the 1.6 branch. You don't really need a callback as you're only reading the data, not manipulating it. Give me a shout if you're still stuck.

Hey - sounds like this could solve a lot of problems for me. Two quick questions,
1. Anyone using this with 1.6.9 successfully?? I'm getting a blank page from template whenever I install.
2. I'm trying to find a clear explanation of how to obtain the token needed under OAUTH_CALLBACK?? I read above it's not necessary but Twitter appear to advise that it be used.

Thanks, J.

Any ideas why I get this error:

By the way, the url is used for telling it where to look for the cache before hitting the Twitter API.

You could try just renaming the $this->base_url call to $this->url
